CPC leadership reviews guidelines on policies supporting construction of Xiongan

The Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee held a meeting on Friday to review the guidelines on a raft of policies and measures supporting the high-standard and high-quality construction of the Xiongan New Area in north China's Hebei province.
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.
The meeting stressed the importance of the construction of the new area, saying it was built to transfer Beijing's non-capital functions and boost the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, so the government must take targeted support measures to address the actual needs and concerns of companies, schools and other institutions that are going to be relocated to Xiongan, so as to promote the landing of some major projects to the new area.
