China unveils CR450 high-speed train prototype capable of 450 km/h

A prototype of the CR450 high-speed train, capable of reaching 450 km/h, was unveiled in Beijing on Sunday, highlighting China's advancements in operational speed, energy efficiency, interior noise reduction and braking performance.
According to its developer, China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (China Railway), the CR450 has achieved a test speed of 450 km/h and an operational speed of 400 km/h.
Once commercially launched, the CR450 is expected to significantly reduce travel times, offering passengers a more efficient and convenient travel experience. Despite its higher speed, the train ensures enhanced safety with shorter braking distances and improved operational stability.
