Some governmental departments in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province and Suzhou in East China's Jiangsu Province reportedly deploy DeepSeek models to aid government work and address public needs, according to media reports.

Longgang district of Shenzhen deployed the Deepseek-R1 on the district's official government extranet, making it the first government body in Shenzhen to successfully deploy this model, according to the Shenzhen News on Monday.

"The DeepSeek models are now available to all departments in Longgang, aiming to make AI an efficient assistant for government work and to transform the way government operations are conducted by making it more intelligent, collaborative, and data-driven," said Xi Wei, the deputy director of the bureau for government services and data management, according to the report.
