The Trump administration is moving to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), one of the world’s top climate research institute, USA Today reported. 

Newsweek contacted the White House and the NCAR for comment by email after office hours.

President Donald Trump has made clear his disdain for the climate agenda—calling climate change a “scam” and “the greatest con job ever perpetuated”—despite the warnings of numerous scientists and the U.N., which calls climate change the defining issue of our time, threatening to shift weather patterns that could affect food production and send sea levels rising.
