"The base of the China-ASEAN Information Harbor was officially launched in Nanjing, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region on Sunday.

The inauguration ceremony was held during the China-ASEAN Information Harbor Forum, which ends on Monday.

Lu Wei, minister of the Cyberspace Administration of China, said China will push forward the establishment of the China-ASEAN Information Harbor fund and increase investment in information infrastructure relying on the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and the Silk Road Fund. He added a portal for China-ASEAN Information Harbor will be established to promote penetration of the Internet and break the information barrier and bridge the 'digital gap'."
