Scores of delegates walked out of the United Nations General Assembly hall in protest as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the podium on Thursday to address the general debate of the 81st session.
Netanyahu used his speech to defend Israel's military actions in Gaza and elsewhere in the region, amid growing international criticism and diplomatic isolation.
Rejecting allegations of genocide in Gaza, the Israeli prime minister claimed that Israel "didn't commit genocide. Israel prevented genocide."
