"Chinese Premier Li Keqiang told a group of media executives on Tuesday that the common interests of the country and its Asian neighbors are much greater than their differences.

China wants to properly handle differences with neighbors through peaceful, diplomatic means, Li said at a meeting with delegates from the annual board meeting of the Asia News Network (ANN).

As the largest developing country in the world, China still has a long way to go in terms of modernization, he said, pledging the country will work with Asian countries to maintain a peaceful and stable international environment."
