"China opposes any country using domestic laws to carry out 'long arm jurisdiction' against Chinese entities or individuals, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.

The U.S. Department of Justice said it had filed criminal charges against China's Dandong Hongxiang Industrial Development Co. and its executives for supporting the nuclear program of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's (DPRK), according to news reports.

Spokesperson Geng Shuang said China's position on the DPRK's development of nuclear weapon and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is clear and consistent."
