"South Korea and the US kicked off a joint naval drill Monday of an
unprecedented scale. Called Invincible Spirit, the drill covers the
western, southern and eastern waters of South Korea. With the USS Ronald
Reagan as the main force, the navies are readying for precision strikes
 against key land facilities.
October 10 marks the anniversary of
the Workers' Party of Korea. South Korean and US media outlets have
made copious reports about the commotion at North Korea's nuclear and
missile sites, and predicted that Pyongyang may launch strategically
aggressive operations around the anniversary.
