Xi: China, Vietnam should value positive momentum in relations

"President Xi Jinping said China and Vietnam should value the positive developments in their bilateral relationship, properly handle disputes and expand cooperation.


Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks on Thursday while meeting Dinh The Huynh, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and executive secretary of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee.


Xi said that with efforts from both sides, China-Vietnam relations could maintain positive momentum with good progress and cooperation across the board."
