"China and the United States are maintaining close contact on exchanges between their presidents and at other levels, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Tuesday.

Spokesperson Hua Chunying made the remarks at a daily press briefing in response to media reports that U.S. President Donald Trump will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in the near future."
