"U.S. President Donald Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe agreed here Friday to ramp up pressure on North Korea for its continued missile tests, including through additional sanctions.

North Korea is a global problem that 'at some point will be solved,' Trump reportedly said at the beginning of their roughly 50-minute meeting during the Group of Seven summit here.

The leaders agreed that more pressure, not dialogue, was needed at this stage, according to Japanese sources. They also reaffirmed the importance of Chinese involvement, given Beijing's influence over the rogue state."
