Myanmar forms civilian protection organ for Rakhine state

The Myanmar government has formed an Implementation Committee of Rakhine Advisory Committee with 15 members representing related ministries, according to a statement from the President Office on Tuesday.
The committee is established to implement the recommendations of the final report of the Advisory Commission, led by former United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan, and the Maungtaw Investigation Commission.
The committee is responsible to take measures to avoid harming of innocent civilians during carrying out their legitimate duty to restore stability in Rakhine state.
