Russia's UN envoy Vassily Nebenzia on Friday asked the United States to stay in an international agreement with Iran over Iran's nuclear program.

Asked what would be Russia's message to the United States at a possible meeting next week between Iran and six world powers, Nebenzia said: "Stay in the JCPOA."

JCPOA, or Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, was reached in July 2015 between Iran and China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States over a peaceful use of nuclear program by Iran.
