South Korea envoys head to Pyongyang to push talks with US

SEOUL (BLOOMBERG) — A high-level South Korean delegation is set to visit North Korea on Monday (March 5) afternoon in a bid to persuade Kim Jong Un to start talks with the US and stave off a potential conflict over his nuclear programme.
South Korean President Moon Jae In was sending his national-security adviser and top spy on the two-day mission to Pyongyang, presidential spokesman Yoon Young Chan told a news briefing on Sunday.
The team - led by National Security Office head Chung Eui-yong and National Intelligence Service chief Suh Hoon - planned to discuss US-North Korean talks "aimed at denuclearisation" and inter-Korean relations, Yoon said.
