Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull and Singapore's Lee speak out on trade wars at ASEAN

In what appeared to be a new rebuke to Donald Trump's trade wars, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong have taken a strong stance against protectionism at the end of an APEC-Australia special summit marked by growing regional tensions over human rights abuses in the region.
Mr Turnbull said at a press conference marking the end of the summit that Australia and the 10 nations of ASEAN had reaffirmed their commitment to "expand trade and oppose protectionism."
"As I observed in our meeting today… there are no protectionists around the ASEAN-Australia summit table," he said.
