"David Cameron has heaped blame on Russia for arming rebels in eastern Ukraine, saying: "You can't buy this equipment on eBay."

The Prime Minister admitted British firms may suffer because of tough sanctions imposed on Vladimir Putin's regime over the war in eastern Ukraine.

But the Tory leader insisted the "short-term pain" was worthwhile and the UK could not "turn a blind eye".

Ten months of violence between Russian-backed separatists and Ukrainian forces has claimed more than 5,500 lives, and government troops were forced to pull out of the key town of Debaltseve, where fierce fighting had raged overnight, in breach of a cease fire struck last weekend."
