Vietnam's Communist Party chief to visit China

"Vietnam's Communist Party chief Nguyen Phu Trong heads to China on Tuesday (Apr 7) for a four-day visit at a time when the two countries are experiencing what analysts call a trust deficit.
The visit will take place almost one year after a diplomatic firestorm between the two countries over the deployment of a Chinese oil rig in the South China Sea last May. The incident triggered months of sea skirmishes and anti-China protests in Vietnam, plunging Sino-Vietnamese ties to a historic low.
Anti-China protests turned violent in several parts of Vietnam, spooking foreign investors and causing a dramatic drop in tourists from China, and the numbers have not returned to their former levels. "
