"China's Foreign Ministry has rejected US criticism of China's position on the South China Sea and called on the United States to play a constructive role.

Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying made the remarks in response to comments made by US President Barack Obama, who said Washington is concerned China is using its "size and muscle" to push around smaller nations in the South China Sea."
