National security law brings HKSAR back on track: MOFA

Since the implementation of the national security law a year ago, Hong Kong's society has returned to the right track, with national security safeguarded, rule of law practiced and justice served, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin on Wednesday.
"Various legitimate rights and freedoms of the vast Hong Kong residents and foreigners living in Hong Kong have been better guaranteed in a safer environment, which is an objective fact that has been recognized by everyone without prejudice," said Wang.
He made the remarks at a daily media briefing in response to a question on Amnesty International's "human rights emergency" comment on the law. He called the organization's claim a "malicious smear and distortion of facts."
