North Korea fires unidentified projectile into sea, South Korea military says

North Korea has fired an unidentified projectile towards the sea off its east coast, according to South Korea’s military, amid Pyongyang’s calls for the United States and South Korea to scrap what it called their “hostile policy”.
The South Korean military did not give any more details, while Japan’s defence ministry said it appeared to be a ballistic missile.
The announcement came just before North Korea’s ambassador to the United Nations said no one could deny his country’s right to self-defence and to test weapons.
