China condemns U.S. remarks over Taiwan region, urges U.S. to correct mistakes

China will take all necessary measures to crush any "Taiwan independence" attempts, and remains resolute in defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Monday.
Hua made the remarks in response to the statement made by U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price, who called China's military activities near the Taiwan island "provocative" and "destabilizing."
Hua condemned the statement for violating the one-China principle and the three China-U.S. joint communiques, saying it sends "extremely wrong and irresponsible" signals to the outside world.
