Premier Li Keqiang arrived in Bogota, the capital of Colombia, to start his official visit to the country on May 21.

"Premier Li Keqiang arrived Thursday for an official visit to Colombia, during which a series of cooperation deals will be signed. This is the first visit to the Latin American country by Chinese premier in 30 years.

During his visit, Li is scheduled to meet Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos. They will jointly meet with press and attend a seminar on people-to-people exchanges between China and Latin America.

The Premier said that China is willing to work together with Colombia to strengthen cooperation focusing on infrastructure construction, product capacity, equipment manufacturing and agriculture. He also said that China and Colombia should fully use their complementary advantages, consolidate their traditional friendship and expand cultural exchanges."
