From January 31 to February 1, 2018, Zhang Xinyue, Deputy Director of Division of International Exchange of NISCSS, attended the workshop on “Regional Maritime Security Outlook 2018” held in Singapore. Hosted by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, the workshop focused on relevant issues such as Indo-Pacific maritime security environment, evolving maritime strategies of regional powers, as well as naval build-up and submarine safety measures.

The workshop brought together more than 60 participants, including scholars and experts from think-tanks, research institutes, navies, military industries and international organizations from China, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Japan, Australia, the United States, United Kingdom and France.
