Ding Duo is Director of the Research Center for International and Regional Issues, associate research fellow of National Institute for South China Sea Studies (NISCSS). His research interests include general theory of public international law, international law of the sea, and dispute settlement mechanism. Ding received his bachelor's degree from China University of Political Science and Law and obtained his Master and Ph. D in Law both in Yonsei University, Korea.

His recent research projects include “research on issues related to the cooperation mechanism among coastal countries in the South China Sea”, “research on the legal system and management practice of foreign-related marine scientific research” and “research on the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea”.
